The Science of Aromatherapy: Elevate Your Home with Our Full Moon Drop

Have you ever noticed how a single mist or a flickering flame can instantly alter how a room feels? Scent is far more than an invisible accent in your decor—it is a direct line to your well-being. July 29th marks our latest Full Moon Drop, and we are thrilled to introduce two captivating new aromas: Seaside from The Silhouette Collection and Veranda from The Sanctuary Collection.

Additionally, we are celebrating a major milestone: the official debut of our Room & Linen Essences! Launching as a curated collection of four signature aromas (with more on the horizon), these versatile sprays let you experience our scent profiles in a fresh new way. Whether you prefer luxury candles and room sprays, tomorrow’s drop offers tailored scents for your mood.

Also, this July's Full Moon Drop will mark the end of the summer collection in our Atmosphere. We know it's crazy! But the next Full Moon drop will be August 28th, which is the Sturgeon Full Moon or sometimes called the Harvest Moon. This beautiful moon marks the end of summer. Hence, it's our time to begin releasing our fall collection! We can't wait to show you what we've been brewing up in our lab!

Now, let's dig into the science of aromatherapy!!!!!

The Science of Aromatherapy: How Scent Shapes Your Mood

To truly appreciate a fragrance, it helps to understand the science of aromatherapy. When you inhale an aroma, volatile scent molecules travel directly through your nasal passages to the olfactory bulb. This structure connects directly to the brain's limbic system—the engine room for emotion, memory, and mood regulation.

Unlike other sensory inputs like sight or sound, scent bypasses the brain's analytical filter. As a result, specific botanical compounds trigger immediate neurological shifts:

By carefully layering these elements, we craft scents designed to intentionally shape your daily environment.

Scent Profile Spotlight: Seaside (The Silhouette Collection)

The Vibe

A woman stands in shallow ocean water on a beach at dusk, wearing a flowing pale green and cream satin dress. Large overlaid text reads 'SEASIDE' with smaller text 'ozone | sea salt | driftwood'. Seaside Artisan Candle, sciience of aromatherapy

Imagine standing on a cool, moonlit shore at midnight. Seaside captures the raw beauty of dark ocean waves rolling over wet sand, surrounded by coastal grass and sea spray under the night sky.

The Scent Notes

  • Top: Ozone, Lily of the Valley, Cyclamen, Lemon Zest

  • Heart: Salt Water, Water Lily, Coastal Grass

  • Base: Coastal Pines, Amber, Driftwood Musk

  • Essential Oils: Patchouli Oil, Orange Oil

The Aromatherapy Science

Seaside is engineered for clarity and grounding. The crisp top notes of ozone, lemon zest, and salt water act as an instant mental refresh, helping clear brain fog. As the burn settles, base notes of coastal pine, driftwood musk, and patchouli essential oil provide an earthy anchor that calms a restless mind.

Scent Profile Spotlight: Veranda (The Sanctuary Collection)

A woman with red hair sits in a white wicker chair on a sunlit terrace overlooking the sea, wearing a flowing sage green dress. Lemon trees and lavender plants frame the scene, with the word 'VERANDA' and the scent notes 'lemon', 'lavender', and 'sandalwood' overlaid at the bottom. Veranda Room Spray, scents for your mood

The Vibe

Step out onto a sun-drenched balcony along the Italian coast. Veranda evokes the warmth of afternoon light filtering through lush lemon groves, terraced herb gardens, and fresh linen drying in a sea breeze.

The Scent Notes

  • Top: Fresh Thyme, Garden Coriander, Sliced Cucumber, Watery Greens, White Tea, Ozone, Lemon, Black Pepper, Clove Leaf, Nutmeg

  • Heart: Night Blooming Violet, Rose, Wild Jasmine, Linen, Lily of the Valley, Lavender

  • Base: Light Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ozone, Cedarwood, Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Amber, Olibanum

  • Essential Oils: Patchouli Oil, Orange Oil

The Aromatherapy Science

Veranda is a masterclass in restorative calm and subtle energy. The bright combination of lemon, fresh thyme, and cucumber stimulates serotonin release to gently lift your spirits. Meanwhile, heart notes of lavender, white tea, and wild jasmine slow heart rate variability, easing muscle tension and creating a serene sanctuary.

Double the Experience: Luxury Candles and Room Sprays

Why limit your scent ritual to a single medium? Tomorrow's drop gives you complete freedom in how you curate your home atmosphere. Both Seaside and Veranda are available as double-wick artisan candles and as part of our brand-new Room & Linen Essence collection. Our most popular candles, Clarity and Skin, are also available for a quick mist.

Our new room sprays are formulated to deliver an instant surge of fragrance to bedsheets, curtains, upholstery, open living areas, trash cans, and even in the car. Try layering a room spray with its matching candle creates a multi-dimensional aroma that lingers beautifully throughout the day.

Find Your Mood Tomorrow

Whether you crave the cool, nocturnal focus of Seaside or the bright, Mediterranean tranquility of Veranda, harnessing the science of aromatherapy has never been simpler.

Remember to mark your calendars for August 28th! When our first round of fall scents drops on the Sturgeon Full Moon Drop. Set your reminders early to secure your favorite luxury candles and room sprays before this release sells out!

But before then, celebrate the end of summer with Veranda and Seaside,
